Back in April the following was added by an anonymous user:

Summarizing, this is basically questioning why a wiki is needed for this topic. FWIW I don't have an informed opinion on this topic -- I'm just trying to help by moving this! -- except to say that this wiki's content probably wouldn't be misplaced at linux:.
